The Punjab Rangers Teaching Hospital, Intensive Trauma care (ITC) Department is the place to treat critically ill patient suffering from life threatening medical and surgical conditions. Equipped with highly advanced equipment and staffed are qualified and trained medical and surgical consultants, We have highly trained staff in Trauma Care Management to provide exceptional care to patients. The facility can handle patients of all age groups from neonates to adults.
Our intensive Trauma care unit with its highly qualified staff is always ready to serve critically ill patients with the latest management that includes:-
Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
Mechanical ventilation
High flow oxygen
Non invasive mechanical ventilation
Bedside EEG
Bedside bronchoscopy
Ultrasound guided complex procedures
Bedside Tracheostomy and all other type of necessary treatments
We also have ability to care for patients who suffer any type of organ failure and in some cases more than one organ failure. we have the ability to support the patient through state of the art life sustaining equipment including artificial ventilation, cardiovascular support and kidney support.
Our multidisciplinary daily rounds that include a clinical pharmacist, physical therapist, nursing staff, respiratory therapists and wound care specialists insures a comprehensive approach to each individual patient in order to respond to all their needs and address their goals.
