The Punjab Rangers teaching hospital, urology department deals with diseases of the male and female urinary tract (kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra). It also deals with the male reproductive organs.
Urology department also cover following area:-
Pediatric urology (children’s urology)
BPH
Urologic oncology (urologic cancers)
Male infertility
Urinary tract calculi
Female urology
Neurourology (nervous system control of genitourinary organs)
Erectile dysfunction and infections
Department of urology comprises twenty bedded unit having both male and female patients. Department has a busy OPD. Outpatients, facilities are provided twice a week.
Almost all open and endoscopic surgical procedures are being performed by the department e.g. Cystoscopy, URS, Lithoplasty, TURP, Optical Urethroctomy, TURBT, Pyelolithotomy, Vesicolithotomy, Pyeloplasty, Nephrectomy etc.
